Contribution to PLAYLAB: LUM’A
Garden of Letters, 2026
Commissioned by Mosaic Rooms, London
Play Lab: Lum’a is a project for children and their grown-ups by Chahine Fellahi that explores light as Language, play as memory, and draws on light as both theme and medium. It honours a previous learning curator Dia Batal’s name and legacy, incorporating Arabic calligraphy, poetry, and storytelling. Each Play Lab invites new ways of sensing, with light as a playful language, shifting, layered, and open to interpretation. The project aims to deepen creative connections through sensory play and experimentation, fostering belonging and cross-generational learning.
