In a world not so different from ours
2024-2025
RIVA, London
Over a number of workshops at Our Lady and St-Joseph primary school, year 5 students devised a response to a story addressing climate change. Drawing from Jara Van Teefelen’s writing on forced analogy (Durable Discussion, Disarming Design Department, 2023), prompts were imagined for children to respond to, leading them to imagine how flowers might bloom again, birds return to the sky and fishes to the sea. Solutions were then narrated through monotype printmaking, watercolour and a reading of the completed story by the students themselves.
